In this section as you scroll down you will a clip from a DVD made by Framework in 2007.
In 2006, Framework set out to develop new ways of recording and documenting the work and impact of the volunteers and workers of both the Community Development Programme and the Family Resource Centre Programme. Framework took the view that there was a need to work with Projects to record and document their experiences, their histories and their own and their communities’ development.
“About Quiet Revolution – celebrating 20 years of women’s development”.

In this DVD Framework explores the medium of film as a new way of highlighting community development work and of celebrating the contribution of volunteers and workers.
With a backdrop of InternationalWomen’s Day 2006 in Waterford City, three women reflect on the changes in their lives over 20 years. They express their thoughts on growing up working class, on marriage, working in community development, on the importance of education and on the changes in the lives of young women. We witness their commitment, honesty and joy in celebrating “taking pride in being a woman.”
We also see how they work to draw attention to women’s issues which although sliding off the political agenda are still very real in their everyday lives. More than anything they show us the impact that their work has had on their lives and on the lives of their famalies and communities. This DVD was made with the support of Waterford Wormen’s Centre.
